Kseniia Nel’s painting of magnolias on one of our fountain pens has a bold yet refined quality. This pen features magnolias in a range of pinks, from a pale off-white, to dusky pastel pink, to a more intense cerise that blends into a deep pink on the same bloom. Offset against a gold background, the effect is superbly elegant. Given the black outline around each petal, black was the obvious choice for the grip section.

In ancient China magnolias were seen as representing feminine beauty and gentleness. And in feng shui, a magnolia tree growing outside a home is said to bring tranquility to those who live there.
