Yulia Glas loves dragonflies so much she has painted these ones against an emerald-sheen background. Inspired by the dragonflies’ gossamer wings that change colour in the sunlight, she painted the backdrop in a colour-shifting paint that transforms from an emerald to a sapphire as it catches the light. Leaves have been given shape in dots of gold, with minuscule dots of black within the dots of gold!, and there is also a hint of deeper foliage outlined in black. As I sit at my desk in the evening with an overhead light, the green background transforms in to a jewel-like shimmer that dazzles. What a classy pen!
