[Sold] Romantic Ferns painted fountain pen
We are delighted that Lana le Roux has created her second art pen, this time called Romantic Ferns. She started by painting a dark mulberry background, then layering increasingly lighter shades of colour by pressing ferns on to paint (grading from aubergine to pale violet) and transferring that on to the pen body. The final effect is subtle and magical, as if viewing a forest of fern fronds from a bunny’s eye view. In addition, Lana created the most delicious colour, which she has named merlot, for the grip section
For those who do not know Lana, she is the über-organised Office Manager at Stanford Pen Studio, she is an extremely talented artist and is the person who creates section material to complement our pens perfectly. (She is also a professional chef, is apprenticing under Dave to make the fountain pens, and happens to be the sister of another artist who paints our fountain pens, Zelna le Roux. How talented can a single person be?!? And how lucky we are to have her on the Stanford Pen Studio team.)
We love Romantic Ferns and hope that Lana will find time to paint many, many more fountain pens.
The pen body is by Stanford Pen Studio, with a bronze section ring, cap band and logo medallion embedded in the cap finial.
Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 10,7 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their artwork, and the artwork is encased in a layer of clear resin to protect it from getting damaged during day-to-day use. Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap is a flush-fit and does not post. The Jabulani model usually comes with a hand-made, cap band and section ring in either Argentium silver or bronze, though this may differ depending on what best suits the artwork. Custom hand-crafted roll stops can be added.

We supply our pens with a Jowo #6 nib, alternatively the section can be made to fit a Bock #6 if requested.
